Metalloinvest implements robotic automation for business processes

22/01/2021

Metalloinvest, a leading global iron ore and HBI producer and supplier, and one of the regional producers of high-quality steel, has reduced the execution time for a range of routine processes following the implementation of robotic process automation (RPA). Metalloinvest chose UiPath’s system as one of its RPA platforms.

The Company's implementation of the RPA platform began a year ago with the robotisation of processes for checking potential counterparties, financial postings and human resources activity. Specialists from JSA Group quickly mastered the practical methods of working with the system.

Artem Afrikyan, Robotics Cluster Director at JSA Group, said: "UiPath’s RPA platform includes a wealth of training material and is quite intuitive to work with. As a result, someone with basic development knowledge can immediately start building robots while learning and improving on the go."

Digital assistants are currently being actively used by economic security, financial and accounting specialists. Engaging software robots to solve routine tasks has in a number of cases significantly reduced the time it takes to perform them while increasing the efficiency of business processes.

Svetlana Anisimova, General Manager for Russia and the CIS at UiPath, commented: "The application of UiPath’s RPA platform enables large industrial companies to reconcile an objectively necessary level of centralisation with the high flexibility of business processes. And the simplicity of working with the platform allows them not only to implement the system internally on their own, but also to expand its field of application by transferring modules to other areas of the company’s activities.”
