28/12/2020

Metalloinvest has launched the Leaders 4.0 programme for the integrated development of its talent pool. The training programme is designed for 2021-2022 and was developed by Metalloinvest’s Corporate University in cooperation with NUST MISiS, one of the country’s leading universities for both technical and managerial personnel.

More than 40 employees of Lebedinsky GOK, Andrey Varichev Mikhailovsky GOK, Alexey Ugarov OEMK and Ural Steel participated in the programme.

The goal of the programme is to improve the managerial, business, and social competencies of the participants, who might one day take up the highest leadership positions at the Company.

Andrey Belyshev, Deputy CEO – Organisational Development and Human Resources Director of Management Company Metalloinvest, commented: “The professional and personal growth of our employees is key to improving business performance and sustainability. Our corporate culture is based on open dialogue, the flexibility of approaches and a focus on results. The talent pool serves as the guide for these principles and initiates positive change throughout the whole Company.”

When selecting candidates for executive positions, Metalloinvest strives to make the most of its internal talent pool. For several years now, the Company has been implementing a talent pool programme aimed at developing the most promising employees of Metalloinvest.

In 2020, the Corporate University completely reorganised the process of working with the talent pool. The selection of candidates has become collegial, allowing for increased objectivity and openness. Local personnel committees have been formed in all of the Company’s enterprises. A three-stage process for selecting candidates has been developed and implemented.

Currently, the final stage of the candidate selection process is their consideration by the Personnel Committee, chaired by Nazim Efendiev, CEO of Management Company Metalloinvest.

Irina Bevz, Director of Metalloinvest’s Corporate University, said: “The Leaders 4.0 programme is an important component of the integrated development of our talent pool. It also includes the creation of individual development plans, participation in key projects of the Company, and work with curators. As part of the training process, we actively involve both internal experts and leading external specialists from a variety of industries.”
