Metalloinvest’s ‘Healthy Child’ programme for 2019 has launched in Zheleznogorsk
Metalloinvest's latest 'Healthy Child' competition for the best healthcare projects has launched in Zheleznogorsk. In 2019, the programme’s grant fund will amount to 1.2 mn roubles in Zheleznogorsk, Stary Oskol, Gubkin and Novotroitsk, towns where the Company has operations.
The first event of the programme was an educational seminar on social projects conducted by Olga Bessolova, Curator of the ‘Healthy Child’ programme. Teachers of pre-school institutions, medical workers, representatives of social services, parent committees, sports and non-profit organisations participated in the event.
Olga Bessolova, Curator of the ‘Healthy Child’ programme, said: “Each year, the programme allows us to identify problems that exist in the town, including children and families who are in need of support. This is not a challenge to be tackled case-by-case, but a mission to find a broader solution and a unified response. The professional and emotional involvement of our Zheleznogorsk colleagues and their willingness to participate in overcoming these problems is truly impressive.”
The programme has been active in Zheleznogorsk since 2011 and a number of innovative solutions have been implemented, including the acquisition of sporting infrastructure and equipment.
Natalia Shaposhnikova, Head of External Social Programmes at Management Company Metalloinvest, commented: “From the initial stage of improving the physical health of children, we have now moved on to more advanced challenges such as the mental and intellectual development of the children, using an individual approach in working with children who have special needs. In order to do this, gaining new knowledge is crucial. This year the programme will include many educational events, involving the participation of national experts and the organisation of panel discussions.”
Participants of the seminar presented projects that had been implemented as part of the programme, exchanged plans for the upcoming year and shared their feedback.back to news list
